Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth. Stir in the sugar.
Add the eggs, oil, and vanilla and mix until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then lift out using the parchment and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
